Thinking pink to support CBCF

Michels presented the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation with a cheque for $221,420.00.
Michels Canada donates $221,420
Michels Canada nearly tripled last year’s donation to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF), delivering a whopping $221,420 raised during the 2015 Michels Canada Pink Campaign to aid the fight against breast cancer.
Michels crew members on Enbridge Distribution’s Greater Toronto Area natural gas distribution pipeline received pink gloves and pink hardhats for their donations to the CBCF.
In addition to the pink protective gear, additional motivators were put into place. Michels engineers, office managers, construction managers and even Vice President Gary Ziehr agreed to dye their hair pink if employee donations topped $100,000 and Michels Canada agreed to match every dollar contributed by employees.
The 2015 donation dwarfed the 2014 campaign’s contribution of nearly $79,000.
“We are honoured to be able to help,” said Michels Canada Construction Manager Darel Malcolmson. “We set our goal and blew right past it.”
