Cured-in-place pipe (CIPP)
Michels was contracted to rehabilitate 28 water mains for two projects located on the city streets of Saskatoon, the largest city in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. The East project included 10,262 feet of cured-in-place pipe liners and the West project included 7,641 feet of liners.
The water mains ranged in diameter from 6 to 12-inches. Michels led the excavation, disconnection, and cleaning process. Our crews also installed a bypass system for individual homes, tested the water, led the chlorination process, and reconnected the water mains before backfilling and restoring the streets.
Michels robotically reinstated 439 water services that ranged in size from 3/4 to 2 inches.
