Michels was the Prime Contractor on the FortisBC Coastal Transmission System Project in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. The 11-kilometre project consisted of 36-inch and 42-inch new pipe construction in a heavily urban environment.The project included more than 300 facility crossings while working in parallel proximity to Metro Vancouver's water main and force main sanitary lines as well as the existing FortisBC natural gas transmission line. There were 25 road crossings and 7 watercourse crossings on the project.
