Scope

Michels drilled a 966-metre, 36-inch hole under the North Saskatchewan River to simultaneously install a 24-inch welded steel pipeline segment and two strands of 1 1/4-inch polyethylene conduit containing fiber optic cables. The parabolic alignment travelled 35 metres deep under the river.
